> Get in touch
tooldev.app is a small, independent project run by one person. If you have a question, a bug report, a feature request, a privacy concern, or a DMCA notice — email works, and every message is read by the same human who wrote the tools. This page explains what to send where so your message reaches me quickly and with the right context.
> General contact
The fastest way to reach me is email:
The address looks like a privacy-only inbox, but it is the general mailbox for the whole site. Mail sent here is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to a personal inbox that I check several times a week. I reply to almost everything — usually within three to five business days. Ukrainian power outages can occasionally delay responses; if you have not heard back in two weeks, a polite nudge is welcome.
Please write in English or Ukrainian if you can — those are the languages I read fluently. Other languages still reach me and I do my best with a translator.
> Bug reports
If a tool on tooldev.app misbehaves, the most useful bug reports include:
- Which tool and which format pair (for example, png-to-webp on the /pages/png-to-webp page)
- Browser and version (Chrome 132, Firefox 123, Safari 17, etc.)
- Operating system (macOS 14, Windows 11, iOS 17, Android 14)
- A short description of what you expected vs what actually happened
- If possible, a small sample file that reproduces the issue — or the pixel dimensions and approximate file size of the original
- Any errors shown in the browser's developer console (press F12, look at the Console tab)
Do not send confidential images. tooldev.app is built specifically so that your files never leave your browser — please do not break that contract by attaching something sensitive. A synthetic file that shows the same symptom is always fine.
> Feature requests and new tool ideas
The tool roadmap is driven almost entirely by what users ask for. If you wish tooldev.app supported a specific format, a specific workflow, or a specific conversion you can't do elsewhere — email me. Concrete use cases are more useful than abstract feature names: tell me what you are trying to accomplish, not just which button you want.
> Privacy, data, and DMCA requests
Requests under GDPR, CCPA, or similar privacy regulations — including access, deletion, and portability — should be sent to the same email. Because tooldev.app does not collect personal data about file processing (the files never leave your browser), most such requests concern anonymous analytics, which you can opt out of in your browser settings. See the full privacy policy for details.
DMCA takedown notices and other legal requests should also go to the same email. Please use the subject line "DMCA" or "Legal" so I can prioritise them.
> About the person behind this
tooldev.app is built and maintained by Vitalii Kurovskyi, a software engineer based in Ukraine with a twenty-year background in retail technology. The site is a side project — a deliberate learning-in-public exercise in browser APIs, web performance, and honest product design. For more background, see the About page.
> GitHub
My GitHub profile lives at github.com/dc83. The tooldev.app repository itself is private, but the profile is the best public proof of identity that ties the person behind this site to an actual developer. If you recognise me from elsewhere, feel free to reach out there too.
> What this site is not
tooldev.app is not a company. There is no support team, no ticketing system, no SLA, no 24/7 chat. Response times are human-paced. If you need a commercial image-processing service with guarantees, tooldev.app is probably not the right choice — and I will honestly point you elsewhere.
